Girls, Boys - it’s not easy finding icons, fashion-icons, beauty-icons… well, you know, icons for the superficial stuff. Chloé Sevigny! I hear you scream. But, seriously, I would NOT wear her shoes. Maybe the lipstick and possibly the attitude. Moreover, I heard her never say something interesting (correct me!). Olsen? Olsen who? Doesn’t matter. I’m not into looking undone - I’m into looking done but with the lowest level of effort…lazyme.
I can’t stand the All-Hail-Chloé-Post I’m confronted with in most blogs - she seems different, but, and that might be a Hipster-problem, where is the difference when a million of girls show the same pictures. It’s working with the same system like everything “mainstream”, it just looks different than, well, just different than mainstream. If that’s enough, well, ok - that counts, of course.
I’d rather be inspired by these women - fashionwise, by their poise and their aura. What they do, where they come from and how they dress.Maybe it’s my personal taste.
Who inspires you?
Julia Restoin-Roifeld

Why? Her sexyness is subtle, she is perfectly imperfect, natural and looks glamourous and laid-back at the same time. Sure, with that mother (Ex-Vogue-Paris-Editor in Chief) things might be easy. But it does not gurantee anything.
Her style in pictures and words:
Ambra Medda

Why: She invented Art Basel Miami Beach. At 25! Hello? She must be somekind a career-girl, supersmart, but really doesn’t look like that. She drives a vintage, green Mercedes, listens to Edith Piaf and loves shoes. Nice!
Her Profile in Style/New York Times
Interview with Vogue Italia
Taylor Tomasi Hill

Why: There had to be an editorialista on the list, don’t you think? Well, I want most of her clothes and even thought about colouring my hair red (I didn’t). Her profession: She is the accessoire and style director for Marie Claire US. Her look is chic, but not stiff, though, but romantic. Well and writer are always soooo smart, you know.

Since I haven’t met these ladies, I don’t know if they are really nice or evil. But at this point, it simply doesn’t matter.
